Gathering Spaces
Tauhara has a number of diverse gathering spaces, as well as spacious
grounds for solitary thinking and meditation time. An overview of the
facilities available is as follows.

A range of meeting spaces is available to suit the requirements of
your group. Even if you have only a small group, it is sometimes possible
for more than one group to utilise the Centre at a time.

  Main
Hall
Seating capacity: 150 people
Size 165 sq.m.
This large hall is adaptable for most presentations and meetings. It has a cork floor with movable carpet squares and an efficient wood-fired stove for winter heating. There is a roll-away stage, and chairs are provided for 150 people as well as large cushions for less formal use.
  Common
Room
Seating capacity: 40 people
Size: 70 sq.m.
The fully carpeted Common Room, or lounge, is often used for workshops or simply as a relaxing area for groups. It has a fireplace, comfortable chairs and big floor cushions.
  Meeting
Room
Seating capacity: 25 people
Size: 50 sq.m.
This carpeted lounge is set apart from the main buildings and adjoins a self-contained guest flat. It is heated by a wood burning fireplace and has a panoramic view of the lake and mountains from its verandah.
  Dining
Room
Seating capacity: 95 people
Size: 110 sq.m.
Effective use of large double-glazed windows providing lovely outlooks from this bright, spacious, high-ceiling room. A wood burning stove provides heat in winter. Some groups needing extra space occasionally use this area for their work if nearby meal preparations do not distract.
  Library\Heritage
Room
Our library may be used for browsing or study by group participants during their stay. It is also open to visitors and local borrowers. The library space is, therefore, not used for meetings, counselling or similar activities.
  Sanctuary
A spiritual focal point of Tauhara, this is a place for meditation, prayer or simply being in silence. A seven sided building situated on a knoll apart from the main complex, the sanctuary is always used in silence, and is kept open for anyone.
  Bush
Track
An inspiring series of tracks offer varying walks with points for solitude, reflection and scenic vistas.
